Najjar Abdul-Musawwir has exhibited throughout the US, Africa, Asia and Europe. He is a tenured Associate Professor in the School of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

When not creating, he works with disengaged youth helping to discover their creative voices. His unique eye and canvas manifestations earned a coveted artist-in-residence with the N’Namdi Center for Contemporary Arts.
